GBI forensic artist helps solve Georgia’s cold cases

May is Missing and Unidentified Persons Month, a time dedicated to renewing focus on thousands of open investigations across the country. Here in Georgia, state investigators have a unique weapon in their arsenal to help crack these cold cases: Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Forensic Artist Kelly Lawson. Over a distinguished career, her hand-drawn sketches and advanced skull facial reconstructions have helped generate critical leads in hundreds, if not thousands, of active criminal and missing persons cases.
