Grady Memorial hosts second annual baby shower
More than 200 expecting and new mothers are expected to fill the Grady Memorial Hospital Main Atrium on Saturday, for the hospital’s Second Annual Community Baby Shower. The grassroots event, organized by Morehouse Cardiology Fellow Dr. Nicole Guynn, aims to provide essential resources and health education to Atlanta’s underinsured and uninsured populations just ahead of Mother’s Day. The shower comes at a critical time for the state, as Georgia continues to face some of the highest maternal mortality rates in the nation, particularly among Black women.
