Celebrity-backed professional wiffle ball league
A childhood backyard staple is officially transforming into a big-league professional sport in Atlanta. Big League Wiffle Ball (BLW) launches its highly anticipated 2026 season, Sunday, June 7, bringing a star-studded lineup of celebrity owners, national television coverage, and a brand-new hometown franchise to the city. Headlining the season opener is the official debut of the Atlanta Ballers, a new franchise co-owned by two iconic figures in sports and music: seven-time Atlanta Falcons Pro-Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones and Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Nelly. Both celebrity owners are scheduled to be on-site to rally fans and check out the action firsthand.
