Anti-parasite drug in high demand surges for COVID treatment

The American Medical Association is calling for doctors to immediately to stop prescribing the anti-parasite Ivermectin to treat COVID-19. Clinical trials are underway to study its effectiveness, but the drug is not currently authorized to prevent or treat the coronavirus.
