Friday evening forecast

The big weather story over the weekend will be the second landfall of Hurricane Ida along the Central or SE Louisiana coast as catastrophic category 4 storm. Once on land the storm will likely slow down as it moves northeastward and across the Deep South. We'll get a clearer picture of the local impact from impact - mainly rain and possibly some gusty wind - after the storm makes landfall late Sunday.
