Sarcoma survivor on overcoming diagnosis
Brian Balmes, based in Alpharetta, is a 27-year survivor of sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. After his diagnosis, he turned to fitness as a way to cope — eventually training for and competing in marathons and Ironman events.
