Cartersville, Cass clash in region rivalry
One of Georgia’s top high school football rivalries took center stage Friday night in Bartow County as the undefeated Cartersville Purple Hurricanes faced the one-loss Cass Colonels. Cass head coach Steve Gates said his team must limit big plays and win the turnover battle, pointing to quarterback Brody McWhorter, tight end Chase Tatum, and running back Khalil Charles as difference-makers. The showdown could help shape playoff seeding in the region.
