Family demands closure of Fulton County Jail

An Atlanta mother is demanding answers after her 20-year-old daughter, Tyriana Ledbetter, was brutally beaten inside the Fulton County Jail, leaving her unrecognizable in her hospital bed. The family accuses the Fulton County Sheriff?s Office of negligence, saying officials failed to protect Tyriana, delayed notifying them, and ignored her mental disability. Civil rights activist John C. Barnett is calling for federal intervention and for the troubled jail to be shut down.
