Veterans push for memorial promised for almost a decade
Plans to build a Veterans Memorial Park in Cobb County have been underway for 10 years, but there hasn't been enough money to build the planned memorial. Military Veterans packed a Board of Commissioners meeting Tuesday night begging county leaders to use money from Revenue Above Projection from the 2022 SPLOST for the project. Cobb Commissioners say they're committed to building a Veterans Memorial Park and want to break ground by the end of the year, but it may have to be done in phases.
