Peachtree City leaders how no idea how far their gift to former President Jimmy Carter would stretch. When Carter visited for the city's Fourth of July parade in 1995, former Mayor Bob Lenox and other city leaders gifted him a tool belt for his work with Habitat for humanity. He used it for the next 24 years.
