Black women make up less than 1% of pilots in the United States. Three generations of women are on a mission to change the narrative about women who can fly. Captain Theresa Claiborne made history as the first Black female pilot to fly in the United States Air Force. First Officer Stephanie Grant works for a commercial airline, and flight instructor Travasha Runyon recently earned her wings.
