People living with sickle cell disease will often spend a lot of time in emergency rooms because of severe pain and other complications. And if you've been to the ER, you know the wait for care can be frustratingly long. But starting next month, thousands of sickle cell patients will have another option for care. It's a new wellness center, known as the sickle cell sanctuary.
