Pickens baseball chasing another region crown

The pride for those in North Georgia communities runs as deep as the valleys amid the Blue Ridge mountains, and bleeds onto the baseball diamond. The approach has yielded state playoff berths every year but one in the last decade for Pickens High School, which is focused now on defending their Class 3A, Region 7 title from a year ago.
