Mayor targeted in vandalism of popular Atlanta bar
Manuel's Tavern is known as much for what is on the tap as the topics discussed inside. The popular bar is known to be a meetup for political idealists and debate, but a recent attack by vandals was directed at Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens ahead of a scheduled speech there. The city's police chief believes "Stop Cop City" protesters are behind the attack, something the Vote to Stop Cop City Coalition did not outright deny. Instead, they claim in a statement that the city is "vandalizing democracy."
