Ga. ban on hormone replacement therapy resumes
Georgia can once again enforce a ban on hormone replacement therapy for transgender youth. The reversal comes just two weeks after a judge temporarily block the ban. In this latest decision, the judge said she could not keep the injunction in place after a federal appeals court allowed Alabama to enforce similar legislation. The Georgia law bars licensed medical professionals from providing patients under the age of 18 with cross-sex hormone therapy. Four families filed a lawsuit back in June saying the law violates their rights to make decisions for their children.
