Local fire crew hires 3-year-old firefighter

The Cherokee County Fire Department has welcomed its newest (and youngest!) member, 3-year-old Austin Herre. Austin has Adrenoleukodystrophy which is a type of neurological disease, as well as lymphoblastic leukemia. Despite it all, Austin's parents say they are in awe of their son's strength every single day. During his day with the fire department, Austin met the fire chief, sat in a real fire truck and watched a crew head out on a call.
