A look back at the Tornado Outbreak of 2011

April 27, 2011, was one of the worst tornado outbreaks in history. On that day there were hundreds of tornadoes across the Deep South and over a four-day span, set a record with 350 tornadoes from Texas to New York. Here, in North Georgia, we had 15 tornadoes in our viewing area across north Georgia. With in that, five of those 15 tornadoes had 140mph winds or stronger.
