Super Bowl Sunday: Wet, windy with possibility of snow/wintry mix
Expect a cold rain overnight for North Georgia with periods of heavy rain and gusty winds. A Wind Advisory is in place until 7 a.m, Sunday morning for gusts up to 40 mph. There is a chance that some of the rain will turn to snow in the highest elevations of the North Georgia mountains. However, we're not expecting a winter weather risk for Metro Atlanta as temperatures will be well above freezing throughout the night, into Sunday morning. Most of the snow will melt on contact, but light accumulations are possible above 2500 ft in elevation. Roads are also expected to remain well above freezing.
