GBI making progress on sexual assault evidence kits backlog with new process
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has implemented a new operational changes to get the backlogs of sexual assault evidence kits under control. The new process has allowed GBI health officials under the forensic biology section to quickly assess during screening whether or not samples in a rape kit contain male DNA.
