Murder trial for attorney accused of killing mother on hold

The judge has granted a continuance in the trial of Richard Merritt who is accused of killing his mother the day he was supposed to turn himself in to serve 15 years in prison. He then went on the run before later being captured in Tennessee. The judge wants the GBI to process more evidence in the case.
