What does it take to be a 911 operator

The director of the Cobb County 911 Center said being a 911 operator is not for everyone. It required a lot of multi-talking and empathy, but for those who are called to the job, it can be very rewarding. The county hopes to make it even more rewarding by offering bonuses to retain current operators and lure new recruits.
