First, since nothing can get through the Hot Gates of West Hall, it was necessary to fly over it. Marist was there trying to do just that.

Marist made it 7-0 nothing early with a score by Jack Dinges. The War Eagles, with their power of flight, has air supperiority over the Spartans and not a bad running game either. In the end, the Spartans fell 43-3 to the War Eagles.

Heading south to Lanier where it was homecoming. First, congratulations to Bailey Sharp, she's this year's Lanier Homecoming Queen. But tiara aside, the Longhorns got out to a quick start and jumped into a 21-0 lead.

The Lanier defense was so good especially Kameron Brown who became unblocked and nearly getting the Longhorns a safety.

Habersham-Central kept on fighting just before halftime, Cole Wilbanks rushes for the touchdown.

But the Longhorns stampeded for the win. Final score 31-9.

Lanier continues its regional action next week taking on Apalachee who are winless in AAAAAA Region 8. In the same region, Habersham Central will try their luck against 2-0 Dacula.
