Stray bullet hits Marta bus.
ATLANTA - A woman sitting at a red light was hit by a stray bullet, which police said was fired a block away.
Police said Sunday night, a gunman got out of a black car and started shooting at another man who was sitting near the Ashby Marta Station in northwest Atlanta. The 22-year-old victim was hit. Paramedics rushed him to Grady Memorial Hospital, where at last check he was in critical condition.
A stray bullet from the shooting traveled an entire block, striking a woman sitting in a car at the intersection of Martin Luther King and Joseph Lowery Boulevard. Police said she was an innocent victim and described her injuries as minor.
Another stray bullet hit a Marta bus. Investigators on the scene didn't know if there was anyone on board at the time, but said no injuries were reported.
After opening fire, police said the gunman jumped back in the car and fled from the scene. They don't have a good description of the shooter, other than he was dressed in all black.
