Wife, boyfriend sentenced in husband's murder

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Gwinnett County judge sentenced a woman and her lover in the shooting death of the woman's husband.

George Young was fatally shot as he stood outside his front door back of his home on Montauk Hill Drive in November 2017.

Police discovered that his wife, Tia Young, and a family friend, Harvey Lee, were involved in an extramarital affair.

Prosecutors determined that the two planned the ambush and charged them both with murder after the two told inconsistent stories to investigators

Thursday in court, a judge sentenced Lee to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Young got life with the possibility of parole.
