Wife, boyfriend charges in husband's murder

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Several months after a father of three was gunned down on his doorstep, the victim's wife and the man police said was her boyfriend were charged with the crime.

The couple appeared in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.

Tia Young and Harvey Timothy Lee were charged with killing George Young, Tia's husband, last November.

George had come home after work and was gunned down at his home on Montauk Hill Drive in Gwinnett County.

Prosecutors believe the couple's inconsistent stories about that night were enough to believe they were behind the murder.

At one point during Wednesday's hearing, prosecutors asked Lee about buying a tracker to put on the victim's car and even saying the pair drugged the kids who were sleeping in the house that night.
