Friday morning weather forecast
Friday is starting out in the high 50s and low 50s. Today's high temp is expected to be 82 with partly cloudy skies. Rain moves in tomorrow.
ATLANTA - A quiet and comfortable start to Friday is setting the stage for a much more active Easter weekend across North Georgia.
Temperatures early this morning are in the 60s with a light breeze and low humidity, making for a pleasant start. By this afternoon, clouds will increase, but it will stay warm — with highs climbing into the low 80s, well above average for early April.
Rain chances today remain slim, with most of north Georgia expected to stay dry. However, that changes as we head into the weekend.
Scattered showers and storms will begin to develop Saturday, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. But the main weather impact arrives on Easter Sunday, when a cold front moves through the region.
That front is expected to bring widespread rain — especially during the morning hours — which could impact sunrise services, egg hunts, and other outdoor plans.
Conditions should gradually improve later in the day, with rain pushing out and some sunshine returning by the afternoon. Behind the front, cooler and more seasonable air settles in for next week, with morning lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s.
