NEW SOUTH WALES - The emotional rescue story of Brooklyn, an American bulldog owned by homeless New South Wales man Charlie Griffith, is being shared widely and for good reason.
After three days stuck down a wombat hole in the New South Wales south coast town of Nowra, Brooklyn was rescued by locals despite emergency services having officially called off the operation to save the three-year-old dog.
The dog is reported to be doing well, and he and Griffith are said to be moving into a new home next week.
