Video: Deadly shootout involving U.S. Marshals

Dramatic video posted to Facebook shows the moments of a fatal shootout in East Point between U.S. Marshals and a man allegedly wanted for firing at Atlanta Police. Investigators have identified that man as 26-year-old Jamarion Rashad Robinson.

Facebook user Lance McFalls posted the video live on Facebook. The video shows at least a dozen law enforcement officials well-armed and in body armor surrounded an apartment at Parkside at Camp Creek off Washington Road just after 1 p.m.

McFalls can be seen getting into his work truck with the rest of his crew just moments after capturing a rapid series of shots coming from the front door of the apartment.

Law enforcement sources told FOX 5, when law enforcement descended on an apartment, a man inside refused to open the door; sources said once the door was breached, a man opened fire and law enforcement fired back, shooting and killing the man.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said no marshals or officers involved were injured during the incident.

Authorities confirm to FOX 5, the suspect is the same man wanted by Atlanta Police for firing at officers during an arrest attempt last week. Atlanta Police said the ordeal at the Royal Coach Apartments off Northside Circle.

"That's not him. That's somebody else," said the victim's grandmother, Beverly Nixon, who disputes claims her grandson could be the same suspect.

"He's my first grandchild. He shouldn't be dead," Nixon said, who also questions claims Robinson was armed.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy on Robinson’s body.

Authorities haven’t released details about why search warrant was being served. The GBI said they will likely release more details Saturday.

The name of the dead man involved has not yet been released.
