Home owners in the Medlock Park Community posted videos and photos of the unwanted guests suspected of stealing items from unlocked cars and trucks. The young men were caught on early tugging at car doors and canvassing the DeKalb County neighborhood off Lawrenceville Highway.

"It was about four in the morning and you can see them just tugging out the doors to see which one was unlocked," said Joel Morris.

Morris, whose lived on Jarrington Drive for 26 years, is one of many residents on whose unlocked vehicles were targeted before dawn. In fact, he says the young thieves rifled through his truck and his car.

"They went through the glove compartment and all the other areas and took what they, but they didn't close the door all the way. I guess they knew slamming it would make noise," Morris said standing next to his 20-year-old pickup truck.

Several victims posted alerts on the community's private Facebook page hoping to get the word out about their stolen items including cash, coins and electronics. Some items were found strewn about the neighborhood. Mr. Morris hopes someone who recognizes the men in the photos will give DeKalb County Police a heads up. He also hopes other folks will remember how important it is to lock cars and trucks parked outside every single night.

"We lock our cars 80 percent of the time. This time we didn't and this is what happened," said Morris.
