DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County police officers are searching for a shooter who wounded a person early Sunday morning along Candler Road.

Officers went to the 2500 block of Candler Road around 5 a.m. Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

When officers got to the scene, they found a victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the suspect ran away from the scene before officers arrived.
