COLUMBIA, SC - The Federal Communications Commission held a field hearing in Columbia, SC to hear ideas about how to make inmate cell phones 'as worthless as a paperweight." Federal law currently forbids jamming a cell phone signal. Prison chiefs from across the country, including Georgia, are asking the feds to change the law and give them the option.
