Police search for driver involved in deadly hit and run

ATHENS, Ga. - Athens Police are looking for the person who hit and killed a woman, then drove away.

It happened at around 10 p.m. Tuesday on Commerce Road near the Georgia 10 Loop.

Officers said a 1990s green Honda with tinted window hit 52-year-old Kimberly Pierce as she crossed Commerce Road from the Bulldog Inn.

Investigators think the car will have front-end damage from the crash.

They believe someone witnessed the hit and run.
