Police investigate possible road rage on I-75

Police in Cobb County are investigating a case of possible road rage where shots were reportedly fired into a vehicle.

It happened on the on-ramp to southbound Interstate 75 from Cumberland Blvd. around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Cobb County police said the victim’s rear passenger-side window was shattered as he was merging onto the highway.

The victim and a witness pulled over just after it happened.

Police said the witness saw a man, believed to be in his 20s, in silver newer model high-end sedan, possibly a Jaguar-type vehicle with dark tinted windows.  The witness told police the they saw a silver handgun pointed at the car and opened fire. The witness was not able to get the tag number.

Police said the suspect sped south on the interstate. No one was injured in the incident. The name of the driver has not yet been released.
