Police arrest suspect in murder of teen on Delmar Lane

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police have arrested a man in connection to the shooting death of a teenage boy Thursday night.

The shooting happened in the 3000 block of Delmar Lane NW just after 8 p.m. Atlanta Police said they found 17-year-old Trayvon Muhammad, of Atlanta, shot to his chest and leg.

He was rushed to an area hospital where he later died.

Now police have arrested 36-year-old Tremayne Smith for the charges of murder and being a felon in possession of a gun.

So far police have not released a motive for the crime.
