Police: 2 shot in parked car in Atlanta

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police in Atlanta are investigating a double shooting less than a mile away from one of the venues being used to host some Atlanta’s Super Bowl festivities.

It happened a little before 10 p.m. along Parkway Lane between North Avenue and Ponce De Leon. Atlanta Police said two men in a black sedan were shot by someone walking by the vehicle.

Both men were injured and taken to an area hospital. They were both alert and talking to officials.

A description of the shooter was not immediately available.

The names of the victims have not been released.
