Man and woman found dead at Norcross Inn and Suites
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating after two people were found dead at a motel in Gwinnett County early Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the Norcross Inn and Suites off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard around 3:40 a.m. Thursday after reports of suspicious activity.
"There are currently no suspects and there is currently no motive for this crime," Master Patrol Officer Carlton Releford remarked.
"Due to the complex nature of this scene, we will need more time to figure out exactly what happened," Officer Releford commented.
Responding officers found two people, a man and a woman, dead inside one of the rooms. Detectives haven't revealed their identities at this time. But investigators did confirm the victims are African American and they likely drove a car that was towed from the scene with Florida plates on it.
Many residents at the extended-stay motel said they did not hear anything unusual.
Investigators don't know a motive or a possible suspect description.
