ATLANTA - Atlanta Police said they were involved in a brief pursuit with the driver of a stolen SUV.
The chase ended at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Howell Drive SW. Photos from the scene show a white Nissan Murano head-long against the curb, its doors opened.
Police said three people inside the car jumped out and ran from the scene. Police said they were able to detain the driver and a passenger, but officers were still looking for a third person.
The names of those involved were not immediately released. No word on charges.
The police officers in pursuit of the stolen vehicle were part of APD’s APEX unit which specializes in identifying and targeting violent crime trends throughout the city.
