AUGUSTA, Ga. - A person has died after a shooting outside an Augusta nursing home.
The Augusta Chronicle reports deputies received a 911 call just after 11 a.m. Friday at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. Responding deputies found the person shot in the nursing home's parking lot.
The sheriff's office told reporters they don't know if this is a domestic case or not.
Nearby Augusta University issued an alert but now said they believe it's a domestic case and its students and staff no longer need to take shelter.
