GORDON COUNTY, Ga. - Three people were arrested after an off-duty deputy sheriff caught them in the middle of burglarizing a neighbor’s home in Gordon County.
Police say deputy Scott Shaw was at a home on McDaniel Station Road when a neighbor told him her home nearby was being robbed.
The deputy sprang into action and reportedly arrested Joseph W. Brown, 35, Maggie D. Mason, 18, and Stephan C Howell, 28. According to authorities, they were all charged with burglary and possession of methamphetamine after police found drugs and related paraphernalia inside their vehicle.
Brown, Mason and Howell remain in custody at the county jail. No bond has been set.
