ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Almost everyone has gone to the unload their laundry, and a sock or two comes up missing.
Today is the day to clean out your sock drawer and get rid of those socks who no longer have a match, as May 9 marks National Sock Memorial Day.
According to National Day Calendar, participants should take a picture of their mismatched socks and post them using the hashtag #LostSockMemoriaDay while cleaning out their sock drawer.
Also, if you don't want to throw the socks in the trash, participants are encouraged to research creative ways to repurpose the socks.
