EATONTON, Ga. - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Eatonton Police Department arrested a mother and her boyfriend for cruelty to a disabled person.
Felicia Clements, 40, and Galvin Evans, 25, were arrested after a tip came in advising officers that an individual was being abused at a home along New Street in Eatonton in Putnam County.
During a welfare check, officers discovered a particularly vulnerable person who was severely neglected.
According to reports, the victim had open sores and was malnourished. Officers were also told that the victim was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
The victim was transported to Putnam General Hospital for medical treatment and is in stable condition at the hospital.
Three other children in the home were taken into the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services.
The Eatonton Police Department and GBI continue to conduct this active and ongoing investigation.
