The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said a man is behind bars after pointing a gun at a construction crew, threatening to kill them and yelling racial slurs.

“He pulled up on us and he was like get the n-word off the road, I live here, I kill you n-word,” said King.

According to a sheriff’s office report, the incident took place on Standing Rock Road near Browns Crossing Road, Thursday morning.  King said Bishop was aggravated because he was trying to get home, but the road was closed for construction.

King said when Bishop took out a gun for a second time, he started recording.

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said in the video you can see Bishop pointing the gun.

“If I can show proof that he pulled the gun out,” said King. “Police will get him.”

King said while he documented the incident a co-worker called 911.

According to the report from the sheriff’s office, Bishop left in his white Ford Explorer, but then returned to the scene.  The reporting deputy said when they arrived they saw Bishop toss out a beer bottle from his window.

The deputy said he could smell alcohol on Bishop, but they did not find a gun in his car.

That’s when King said he took out the proof.

“I showed police the video and they seen the gun when he pointed it at us, they were like oh he’s got to go,” said King.

Bishop is charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, weapon pointing a gun at another, terroristic threats, DUI, and probation violation.

Bishop is at the Coweta County Jail on no bond.  His next court appearance is scheduled for September 22nd.
