GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police confirm a man has been found dead inside an unincorporated Lawrenceville home. According to investigators, the victim had been shot at least once.
Just before midnight a call came into 911 saying a person might be dead in the house, which is located in the 2700 block of River Station Court. Arriving officers located the victim, who is described as a black male in his late teens to mid 20's. His identity isn't known, nor do police know exactly how many times he was shot. Investigators said it appears the victim didn't live in the house.
Neighbors didn't tell investigators they heard any commotion from house. Detectives do know how long the victim might've been there. Police on the scene wouldn't say where inside the house he was located, or if there was any sign of forced entry.
Police said the tip stemmed from a series of communications. They plan on interviewing the people in that chain, hoping to learn more about who killed the man and why.
