Man arrested for exposing himself to children on St. Simons Island

A man is facing child molestation charges after police say he exposed himself to two children on a beach on St. Simons Island off the coast of Georgia. 

What we know:

Glynn County police arrested William Walter Frick following an investigation Sunday at Coast Guard Beach.

Officer approached during beach patrol

According to police, officers were conducting beach patrol operations on Aug. 23 when an officer was approached about suspicious activity involving a man and a child.

During the investigation, officers spoke with two children, ages 8 and 9, who reported that an adult man had exposed himself to them while they were on the beach.

Officers located Frick as he was leaving the beach area and took him into custody.

Detectives continued the investigation, which included forensic interviews with the children.

Frick was ultimately charged with two counts of child molestation.

Police say additional charges possible

The investigation remains active, and police said additional charges could be filed.
