ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. - One suspect is on the run following a dangerous, high-speed pursuit in Rockdale County last Tuesday.
Investigators said a man and a woman stole lawn equipment from a Lowes store in Conyers. When the pair was confronted, they fled the store and led police on a 17-mile chase through Rockdale County, Dash-cam video shows the chase reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. At one point, the suspects decide to dump some of what they allegedly stole. A chainsaw and a leaf blower can both be seen flying out the back of the suspects' SUV.
The chase went on for more than twenty minutes, as the suspect sped down narrow country highways and cut through at least one gas station parking lot.
The pair eventually crashes and the woman inside was arrested. However, the male suspect escaped and remains on the loose. Police have not released the identity of the female suspect as they think she may be connected to other crimes.
