ATLANTA - Five people were shot in a gun battle outside a northwest Atlanta nightclub early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Investigators said the shooting happened outside Club Crucial on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Officers said two groups of patrons were asked to leave the club after an argument. The argument spilled outside and erupted into gunfire in the parking lot, according to police. Investigators said they also found a second scene behind the club at the intersection of Peyton Avenue and Bellview Avenue. A total of 64 shell casings from several different caliber guns were found between the two locations.
Two victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital from the shooting scene. Three others went to Grady on their own with gunshot injuries. All five victims are expected to recover. Police said there is no evidence that link the victims to the shootout.
Investigators said the club is not equipped with camera and there are no police cameras nearby.
Police are working to identify suspects.
