The woman at the center of an arrest that made headlines across the country was honored on Mother's Day.

Alpharetta Police pulled 65-year-old Rose Campbell from her car after they said she refused to sign a ticket.

Sunday, State Representative Erica Thomas honored Campbell for what she called outstanding leadership.

Mrs. Campbell said as traumatizing as the incident was for her, she believes everything happened for a reason.

One of the arresting officers resigned from Alpharetta Police Department after the video became public.
