Georgia student earns 5th in national pageant

Woodward Academy seventh grader Gabby Norwood competed in the USA National Miss Scholarship Pageant in Boca Raton, Florida, in July.

Gabby placed fifth overall for the USA National Preteen title and won the supermodel competition.

Gabby has been involved with pageants since the age of seven. She won her first title as Cynthia Bailey's Young Miss Renaissance in 2013, followed by National American Miss Jr. Preteen in 2014, Miss Pink Princess Relay for Life in 2015, and is the reigning USA National Miss Georgia Preteen.

Her favorite charities include The Atlanta Children's Shelter and the Yellow Brick House and she spends much of her free time volunteering in the community.

Last summer, Gabby received an official proclamation by the Henry County commissioner and has met several public officials including Mayor Reed, Senator Isakson, and Governor Nathan Deal.
