Bartow County, GA - UPDATE: The GBI has identified a man shot by a Bartow County deputy Friday night, as Andrew Earl Abernathy.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into a deadly shooting involving Bartow County Sheriff's Deputies. Deputies responded to a domestic dispute Friday night at a home on Carver Road.
Investigators say when deputies arrived just after 11:00, a man with a rifle stepped outside and pointed it at the deputies.
Authorities say that's when deputies opened fire. The man was hit. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
No deputies were injured. The GBI says agents are reviewing the 911 call and dash cam video as part of their ongoing investigation.
Authorities will release the name of the man killed after his family has been notified.
