KENNESAW, Ga. - The Kennesaw Police department lost one of their own Thursday after K-9 Bady succumbed to medical issues and had to be put down.
The 12-year-old police dog retired in 2013 after seven years of active duty.
The department says of K-9 Bady, K-9 Bady’s accomplishments in apprehensions, tracks, narcotic finds, and public demonstrations, had an immeasurable impact on our community as an ambassador for our department. “
After his retirement he went on to live with his handler, Officer Morton. “He was an impressive Canine and had a great career...and I will miss him.” Says Morton.
The Kennesaw Police treated Bady to one last patrol ride around the city the day before they had to say goodbye to the beloved K-9.
